Faster Recovery, Improved Strength Gains Jul 23, 2009

I started taking L-Carnitine originally for it's touted fat burning benefits, but instead found it more helpful for recovering from my workouts and achieving faster strength gains. I recover way faster now, and I have put 40lbs on my bench press in just a little over a month, which is really fast for me. (all my lifts have improved dramatically)My cardio endurance has really improved as well. One of the best benefits is better mental functioning and memory, which I was starting to have trouble with from a lack of sleep. This stuff is actually used to treat Alzheimers patients to improve mental functioning as well as heart attack victims to rebuild cardiac tissue. This stuff rocks, and now I won't be without it!

Pretty Sure it Works May 04, 2012
By M. Walker My wife and I are trying to have a child, and we both have some fertility issues. I read about the benefits of L-Carnitine in regards to sperm count and quality. I bought this to take along with some fertility drugs my doctor prescribed.
After a month, my numbers are through the roof, and even my doctor was surprised. I have to think that the L-Carnitine played a large part in that improvement.
Also, I definitely noticed a slight rise in my energy level throughout the day.

Carnitine shake Apr 21, 2012

I'm no kid anymore. In fact, I'm so far past 18, I don't even recall what 18 felt like. So for me it's important to feel as good as I can and working out helps me do this.
I am not a super athlete or a heavy weight lifter or anything like that, but I do work out with stretching, moderate weight training, isometrics and jogging to stay in shape. My workout schedule is every other morning and I mix it up by working different muscle groups with different activities each session. I workout for 7 weeks at a time, then take a week off.
I enhance my workouts with as healthy a diet as I can manage and also use various supplements in order to increase energy, stamina and endurance. I use L-Carnitine in a shake which I take every morning and about half an hour before any workout I have planned.
I powder one of these pills in a seed mill then mix it with a dose of Creatine powder and a serving of protein powder. This is blended into 10 ounces of milk with a teaspoon of Ovaltine for flavor.
Sounds like a lot of fiddling around, I know. But I have found my energy level stays pretty high all day and on workout days I can do a harder workout for longer. Recovery time is shorter as well. Would like to point out I am no health expert or dietician. I can only speak to how this works for me, while your mileage may vary.
Before taking any supplement or entering into any exercise program you might want to see your doctor and also research any supplement you're considering, to see what side effects it may have and what medications or other supplements you should be wary of mixing with it.
